Made in Japan: Akio Morita and Sony

Picture:Amazon
This book is a series of personal and historical facts. The way the author expresses his thoughts and ideas gives a look at the process of creating Sony through some difficult politically unsure times.
The way Morita leads its company and employees should become a world standard.
He always emphasizes on the fact that the workers are one of the most important assets a company has. They need to be happy, to feel as part of a family at their workplaces.
The first part of the book would be really interesting to the electro- geeks. Even better you will find one in Akio Morita. You can sense it from the pages how much he loves what he does. The reader can sense the love the author has for electronics.
The second part was more about the differences between the Japanese way and the American way of leading a company and doing business. It turns into a useful manual for managers or people who, in general, are responsible for the workforce.
There is, of course, many times when Mr. Morita points out how innovative and amazing are his company, and his people. Also, how he and his team manage to fight and win over the competition. But, hey, he deserved it. He worked really hard, he had great attitude towards his colleagues and employees, and his sixth sense for what would be best never let him down.
If you are a fan of Sony;
If you are a fan of electronics;
If you love the Japanese culture;
If you are in a leading position;
If you are simply interested in a good true story;
Or if you are all of the above,
Or if you are none of the above, don't hesitate to start this book and become one of the above.
Have a nice reading!
